Full-Time, 10-Month Position Overview:
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the Building Substitute Teacher will help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching, managing the classroom, and building relationships with students Take attendance Use positive reinforcement and conflict resolution strategies Create a learning environment that's appropriate for the students' interests and abilities Adapt to different learning stylesMinimum Requirements:
High School diploma or higherPreferred Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable. Associates Degree or higherApplication Process:
