Fairfield, CT Job Summary EDU-AIDs is seeking a qualified Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) Substitute Teacher to support students in Fairfield, CT for a temporary assignment of approximately 1-2 months. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Family & Consumer Sciences, with a strong background in either Fashion or Cooking/Culinary Arts. Responsibilities Deliver engaging FACS lessons in accordance with the existing curriculum and classroom plans. Provide instruction in Fashion or Cooking/Culinary Arts based on the candidate's area of expertise. Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Manage classroom activities, student behavior, and daily routines. Provide hands-on learning experiences and practical demonstrations where applicable. Follow school policies, procedures, and established lesson plans. Monitor student progress and provide appropriate classroom support. Qualifications Relevant Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) certification required. Experience teaching Fashion, Cooking, Culinary Arts, or a closely related FACS subject. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to quickly adapt to an existing classroom environment. Prior K-12 teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
