Job Description

Clarksville CSD is seeking a long-term substitute kindergarten teacher to provide classroom instruction and support during a teacher's maternity leave.

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

Follow established lesson plans and instructional materials.

Assess student learning and provide appropriate feedback and support.

Maintain effective classroom management.

Communicate professionally with students, families, staff, and administration.

Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support student success.

Maintain accurate student records and complete other routine classroom responsibilities.

Qualifications

Valid Iowa teaching license or Substitute authorization or other appropriate Iowa licensure required.

Previous experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.

Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff.

Position Details

This is a temporary long-term substitute position for the duration of the teacher's maternity leave. The selected candidate will receive support from the building administration and teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition and consistent learning experience for students.
