Immanuel Lutheran Child Development Center is looking for a floater/substitute teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will start at $12.00-$13.50 depending on experience in the Early Childhood Education field. Floaters will work with children ages six weeks to four years of age. Roles may include, but are not limited to, teaching circle time, assisting with diapering and potty training, running yard duty outside, taking students to "specials" such as music, library, and PE, using an app called Procare to chart student events and milestones, and ensuring that children are safe, cared for, and monitored at all times. The position of Float/Substitute Teacher requires: An ability to work well with children, which would include building relationships and redirecting behavior with kindness. Maintaining a safe play environment. Supervising effectively by walking the playground during recess. Ability to make decisions quickly and maintain patience. Maintain the assigned schedule. Able to work outside in all weather conditions. Position is from 8:15 AM-2:15 PM, Monday-Friday, with the potential to work longer days on occasion.
