Job Description

Wareham Public Schools is seeking a caring, dependable, flexible, and student-focused Permanent Intermittent Substitute Teacher for the 20262027 school year. The successful candidate will provide instructional support to students by serving in a variety of classroom assignments on a daily basis at Wareham Elementary School during the absence of classroom teachers. The ideal candidate is committed to maintaining a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment, can adapt quickly to different grade levels and classroom settings, and works collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction.

For the 2026-2027 School Year, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Administer substitute plans-Keep a calm, safe classroom environment Maintain an academic environment within the classroom and school Perform duties as assigned by the administration/classroom teacher Supervise students as assigned by the administration.• Work Year - 180 days, Monday - Friday, when school is in session
