Immediately Job Description Cedar Springs Public Schools invites devoted individuals to apply as a long-term substitute for an academic interventionist position at Cedar Springs Middle School from August 24 through October 16, 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports students with ELA and math, primarily Establish effective, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, other support staff, and administrators Apply sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, implementation, and assessment phases of instructional delivery Utilize a variety of quality small group management techniques to maintain a highly productive learning environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in secondary education preferred, but not required A high degree of knowledge in teaching at the Middle School level preferred, but not required Knowledge of and ability to apply the Michigan Content Standards provided by MDE Ability to apply technology integration to promote student learning Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to analyze assessment data to plan student intervention Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters High level of flexibility
