Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by helping young learners thrive in a supportive elementary school environment for the remainder of the school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate General Education Teacher excited about nurturing a 2nd grade classroom with an average class size of 19 students. Youll have the opportunity to foster academic and social growth, following an established curriculum, and support the diverse needs of your classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as an Elementary General Education Teacher Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons to early elementary students Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and organized learning environment Strong communication and classroom management skills Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with other staff and adapt to student needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver daily instruction to a 2nd grade class, following district and school curriculums Assess student understanding and adapt teaching methods to meet varied learning needs Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance Establish a supportive and communicative rapport with students and their families Work collaboratively with staff and faculty to ensure student success Uphold all school and district policies and procedures This position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with hours from 8:35 am to 3:28 pm and a half-hour unpaid lunch, totaling 32.5 hours per week. The classroom remains comfortably sized, with a maximum of 28 students per contract agreement, allowing you to provide focused and personalized attention.
