Job Posting Long Term Substitute Teacher Vicksburg High School 2026-2027 School Year Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate mathematics substitute teacher in a high school setting. This position is student days only, approximate dates September 23, 2026 thru October 21, 2026 with possible extension thru November 4, 2026. This position will be employed through our Third Party provider EDUStaff, and will earn time off per ESTA policies. Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, addressing any behavioral issues in accordance with school policies.
- Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education.
- Collaborate with staff, administration, and other professionals to support student needs.
- Support other school functions as needed

- 60 credits and 2.0 GPA from accredited college/university.
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate OR substitute teacher permit, with a Mathematics endorsement is highly desireable.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move about the building and campus to assist students.
- May require and employee to lift and/or move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
