Job Summary Mora High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long Term Substitute Family and Consumer Sciences (FaCS) Teacher to join our educational team. This position is designed to provide temporary coverage for a FaCS teacher on leave, ensuring that students receive a high-quality educational experience during this period. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a strong understanding of family and consumer sciences, and the ability to engage students in hands-on learning experiences. Responsibilities Deliver engaging and relevant lessons in Family and Consumer Sciences, covering topics such as nutrition, child development, and family relationships. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and the school curriculum. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing timely feedback. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation and collaboration. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support interdisciplinary learning and student success. Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Family and Consumer Sciences or eligibility for a substitute teaching license. Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
