Job Summary A Substitute Teacher is responsible for teaching and supervising students in the absence of the regular teacher. They must follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of students. The substitute teacher helps maintain continuity in the educational process and may work across various grade levels and subject areas.

Job Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the teacher supervise students and ensure a safe learning environment manage classroom behavior communicate with the regular teacher about the day's events no need to grade papers or plan lessons

Job Requirements Education:

 High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred.

Licensing/Certification:

 A teaching certification or substitute teacher permit may be required.

Experience:

 Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred but not always required.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different educational settings. Basic understanding of classroom technology and instructional tools. Working Conditions Work is generally conducted within the classroom during regular school hours.
