Job Description
Substitute Teacher Little Lambs is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children when regular teachers are absent.
Position Summary:
The Substitute Teacher supports the daily classroom routine and ensures children receive consistent, attentive care and supervision. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, responsible, and passionate about working with young children.Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for all children. Follow the classroom's established daily schedule, routines, and lesson plans. Supervise children closely at all times and maintain appropriate classroom ratios. Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including play, learning, art, music, stories, and outdoor activities. Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other daily care routines as needed. Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Follow Little Lambs' health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures. Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, teachers, and administrators. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and center operations. Complete required classroom documentation and incident reports when necessary. Step into different classrooms and age groups as needed. Perform other duties related to the care and supervision of children as assigned.Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, school, camp, or similar setting preferred. Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a busy classroom environment. Ability to lift, carry, bend, sit, stand, and actively participate in activities with young children. Must meet have a clear background check, and be willing to take CPR and Sexual Abuse Awareness Training.What We're Looking For:

Substitute Teachers may be called upon to provide coverage for staff absences, vacations, training days, or other staffing needs. Availability may vary based on the our needs.Physical Requirements:
This position requires frequent interaction with young children and will involve changing diapers, standing, walking, sitting on the floor, bending, reaching, and lifting children or classroom materials.Equal Opportunity:
