e2112-68508 Job Description Make a real impact in students lives as a dedicated educator working 1:1 with a pediatric learner with visual impairment. This full-time, onsite position provides an exciting opportunity for passionate professionals ready for a long-term role in a dynamic school setting. Travel candidates are encouraged to bring their expertise and enthusiasm to help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) required. Current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Experience teaching or providing services to students with visual impairments, ideally in a 1:1 or pediatric setting. Strong communication skills and adaptability in working within a school community. Passion for individualized instruction and student-centered planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, personalized instruction to meet the unique educational needs and goals of a student with visual impairment. Develop and implement individualized strategies and materials to support student success across academic subjects. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff to foster an accessible and accommodating learning environment. Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as part of the student support team. Provide training and resources to staff and family members as needed.
