Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Parker Academy, a small therapeutic middle and high school in Concord, NH, is seeking a part-time Long-Term Substitute Physical Science Teacher beginning at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM The substitute will teach three small Physical Science classes, with approximately 3-6 students per class. Parker serves students who benefit from small classes, individualized support, and a relationship-based learning environment. Responsibilities include: Teaching three Physical Science classes each morning Preparing and delivering engaging, accessible lessons Maintaining a supportive and structured classroom environment Collaborating with Parker Academy staff as needed

Qualifications:

Background in science, education, or a related field Teaching experience strongly preferred Ability to connect with middle and high school students NH teaching certification preferred, but not required This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 3-8 weeks, depending on the return date of the regular classroom teacher.
