Legacy Academy is a private, Christian discipleship school serving preschool through grade 12 students. With our continued growth and expanding student body, we're seeking a full-time substitute teacher who can step in with excellence and carry on the mission of connecting students to the heart of God.

Who You Are:

A committed follower of Christ with a servant's heart. Passionate about helping students learn, grow, and discover their God-given potential. Reliable, flexible, and comfortable engaging with students of varying ages and grade levels. Ideally pursuing or holding a degree in Education, Math, English, or Science (preferred but not required).

What You'll Do:

Fill in for teachers who are out for short- or long-term absences, ensuring a smooth continuation of instruction and classroom order. Work under the guidance of administration to support classroom learning and uphold Legacy Academy's Christ-centered mission. Gain experience across multiple grade levels and subjects , developing practical skills and a deeper understanding of Christian education. Assist with pull-out sessions for individual students or small groups when not actively substituting. Observe and learn from seasoned teachers to gain insight into classroom management, student dynamics, and effective teaching strategies. Communicate clearly and positively with students, staff, and administration to ensure a consistent and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required); college coursework or degree in Education, Math, English, or Science preferred. Ability to meet state and federal requirements, including background check and fingerprinting. Current CPR/Basic First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
