Long-Term Substitute Teacher - McCrossan Boys Ranch Teachwell Solutions (East Dakota Ed Coop) - 3.0 Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Full-time 3 days ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Teachwell Solutions is offering a unique opportunity to provide secondary Social Studies instruction as a Long-Term Substitute Teacher in a nontraditional school environment. Teachwell provides educational services at McCrossan Boys Ranch, a residential school for boys located in Sioux Falls, SD. Teachers at McCrossan work very closely as a team to support the unique and varied educational needs of middle to high school age boys living at the Ranch. This is a unique experience requiring a unique set of skills. Our top performing teachers are those who relish the opportunity to work with this special population, are looking for an alternative to traditional school environments and welcome the structured environment of a residential school. Specialized training for working in a residential environment is provided. Person selected for this position must be able to complete a fingerprint-based background check and provide verification of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. South Dakota Teaching Certificate, preferably in social studies content area, or ability to obtain certification through alternative certification. Alternative certification is available to persons holding a bachelor's degree who are willing to complete 15 additional credits within 3 years. Position is open until a suitable candidate is found. Hire may be made prior to the listed closing date of the advertisement.
