In this role, you will provide essential classroom coverage across various grade levels and subjects, ensuring continuity of instruction when regular teachers are absent. The position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive Christian environment, fostering positive learning experiences for students. The Substitute Teacher plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere while adhering to school policies and religious values. Duties Step into classrooms to deliver instruction in accordance with lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or based on established curriculum guidelines. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment aligned with the school's Christian values. Supervise students during instructional time, breaks, lunch periods, and other school activities. Assist students with assignments and provide support to foster academic growth and positive social interactions. Follow all school policies, safety protocols, and religious principles to ensure a secure and nurturing environment. Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as needed to support student success and well-being. Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and grade levels while maintaining consistency in teaching quality. Uphold the school's Christian environment by demonstrating professionalism, kindness, and integrity in all interactions. Qualifications Prior experience in teaching or substituting in an educational setting is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds within a Christian context. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment rooted in Christian values. Flexibility and adaptability to work across various classrooms and grade levels on short notice. A commitment to supporting the school's mission of providing faith-based education. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in teaching is a plus.
