Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Long Term Substitute Teacher for English 12 to join our educational team. This full-time position requires an individual who is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting students' academic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, as well as the ability to engage students in meaningful discussions and activities. This role is essential in maintaining continuity in the curriculum and ensuring that students receive a high-quality education during the absence of the regular teacher. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the established curriculum for English language and literature.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and classroom participation.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain classroom management and discipline in alignment with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and behavior.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school-wide initiatives and events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Fulfill all administrative duties, including attendance tracking and grading, in a timely manner.
- Adapt to the needs of the students and make modifications to lessons as necessary. Requirements
