Key Qualifications:

Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) Prior experience supporting students, especially within elementary grades, is highly valued Comfortable assisting in both individual and group learning settings Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and staff Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping children grow Reliable and committed to maintaining continuity throughout the academic year

Role Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support for students who use ASL as part of their learning Assist the lead teacher in fostering an inclusive, communicative classroom environment Facilitate communication between students, peers, and staff by interpreting or supporting expressive and receptive ASL use Engage positively with students in grades 1-3, promoting social interaction and academic progress Aid with classroom activities, routines, and transitions during afternoon hours

12:00 pm 2:00 pm Total of 15 hours per week Compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $27 per hour, based on experience and skills.
