This role is designed for candidates skilled in ASL, ready to make a difference through one-on-one guidance. The assignment begins immediately and extends through May 21, 2027, offering consistent hours and an engaging school environment.
Qualifications:
Active ASL (American Sign Language) certification or credential required Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, especially in educational settings, strongly preferred Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders and best practices for supportive interventions Patient, positive, and adaptable approach to individualized instruction Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staffResponsibilities:
Provide personalized, direct support to one 2nd grade student with Autism throughout the school day Implement communication strategies utilizing ASL for optimal learning and engagement Assist with classroom participation, social interactions, and task completion Help with daily routines, transitions, and fostering student independence Track student progress and communicate updates to the educational team and family Support inclusion and advocate for the student's needs within the school communityBenefits:
