Responsibilities Develop engaging curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods and preschool guidelines. Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies. Implement age-appropriate activities that support child development instruction in areas such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Utilize classroom experience to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles and special education needs, including early intervention strategies. Maintain accurate records of student progress, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and daily activities to support ongoing assessment and reporting. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare or preschool environments. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, childhood development theories, and Montessori educational principles. Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and student interaction. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and first aid/CPR certification for emergency preparedness. Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and implementing standardized testing procedures.
