The TA's duties include, but are not limited to, teaching small groups in math, reading, science and social studies and teaching or assisting in an elective class. There are generally 8-12 students in the homeroom classroom with one lead teacher and 1 to 2 TA's. We especially need someone who is flexible and can work with both middle and high school students. We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading a small group under the supervision of a credentialed teacher and is particularly skilled in math and science. If you would enjoy working with an engaging group of youngsters, enjoy both classroom and community based teaching, and are a team player, please indicate your interest in the position via e-mail to Dr. Esther Cohen. Previous experience with students in special education and some post-secondary education would be advantageous.
