RECRUITMENT IS OPEN FOR ALL 6.5 HOUR, 3 HOUR AND SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of general education or pass an assessment test.
- One year experience working with children in an organized setting; preferably in a Special Education setting.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE
- Knowledge of child guidance principles, especially as they relate to students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of basic subjects taught in District schools.
- Knowledge of educational technology and therapeutic equipment.
- Ability to assist with instruction and related activities in an assigned special education program.
- Ability to perform clerical duties and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
- Ability to supervise and provide behavior support to students according to approved policies and procedures.
- Ability to reinforce instruction to students with disabilities, communication and behavioral challenges.
- Potential exposure to blood, other bodily fluids, and children with aggressive behavior.
