W2 ABOUT THE ROLE
LiriCare is hiring a full-time Paraprofessional to support students at a school in El Cerrito, California . This is an in-person, school-based position primarily providing individualized support to 1-2 students , with occasional full-classroom assistance as needed. You'll work closely with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and school administrators to help students participate successfully in the classroom, follow individualized learning plans, and build greater academic, behavioral, and functional independence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide direct one-on-one or small-group support to 1-2 assigned students Assist students with classroom activities, assignments, and daily routines Implement instructional strategies and accommodations under the direction of the classroom or special education teacher Support students with behavioral, social, and functional needs Reinforce skills and strategies outlined in students' IEPs or support plans Monitor student participation and progress and communicate observations to the instructional team Assist with transitions between classrooms and school activities Provide occasional support to the full classroom when needed Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers Maintain student confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
At least 48 completed college units Ability to work full-time and in person in El Cerrito, California Experience working with children or students preferred Experience supporting students with disabilities or special education needs preferred Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructional and behavioral support plans Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and multidisciplinary school teams Dependability and strong organizational skills Ability to complete all school-required background checks and onboarding requirements

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing individualized, hands-on support to students and being an active part of the school day. You'll primarily work with one to two students , allowing you to build strong relationships and provide consistent support while also assisting the broader classroom when needed.
