About Us Happa Baby School is a Chinese immersion preschool serving children from infancy through Transitional Kindergarten. Our program provides a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children develop independence, confidence, social-emotional skills, and a love of learning through hands-on experiences. We are looking for a Teacher Assistant who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team. Position Overview The Teacher Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teacher and teaching team to support the daily classroom routine, children's learning and development, and overall classroom environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, nurturing, and comfortable working with children ages 3 months-5 years. Responsibilities Support teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Assist with supervision and safety of children at all times Engage children in play, learning activities, music, art, and outdoor activities Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Assist children with meals, diapering/toileting, handwashing, and other daily care needs as appropriate Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior Follow classroom schedules, health and safety procedures, and school policies Communicate respectfully and professionally with teachers, children, and families Work collaboratively with the teaching team to provide consistent care and guidance Participate in classroom preparation, cleaning, and transitions throughout the day Qualifications Previous experience working with young children preferred Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework is a plus Able to speak and read fluently in Mandarin Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Warm, patient, responsible, and dependable Strong communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced early childhood environment Must be able to meet California childcare licensing requirements

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
