Medical Assisting Instructor (Part-Time | Saturday Position) Are you an experienced Healthcare Professional looking to expand your impact without leaving your full-time hospital or clinic role? Skilltrade is a private allied-health career training school seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Medical Assistant or higher credentialed individual to serve as an instructor in our program and help develop certification-ready, workforce-ready Medical Assistants. Lead Medical Assistants Educators at heart who want to shape the next generation Professionals seeking predictable supplemental income Leaders looking to strengthen their resume with instructional experience What You'll Do This role involves teaching adult students enrolled in a structured, certification-focused training program that prepares graduates for national credentialing exams and entry-level roles in healthcare facilities. Deliver hands-on lab instruction aligned with current industry standards Demonstrate workflows, patient interaction, and infection prevention best practices Reinforce exam-readiness strategies tied to CCMA certification Coach students on professionalism and clinical expectations Evaluate competency through skills checkoffs and practical assessments Maintain accurate attendance and grading records Partner with leadership to ensure students are workforce-ready We provide the curriculum, lesson plans, and onboarding support. Prior teaching experience is not required — but professionalism and subject-matter mastery are. Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Minimum 2+ years of hands-on medical assistant experience Current BLS Certification Strong knowledge of medical assisting procedures, medical office operations, and patient care Clear, confident communication skills A mentoring mindset and commitment to high standards Reliable, punctual, and organized Preferred (but not required) Experience as a Lead MA, Nurse or Preceptor Experience training or onboarding new hires Why Join Us?
