Job Overview The Para Educator plays a vital role in supporting students' educational experiences, particularly those with special needs. This position involves working closely with teachers to facilitate learning and provide assistance to students in various classroom settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners. Duties Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual student needs. Support students in understanding and completing assignments, ensuring they grasp key concepts. Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt curriculum materials as needed. Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring additional support. Provide care and supervision during classroom activities, including playtime and transitions between classes. Foster communication with students, encouraging their engagement and participation in lessons. Assist with record-keeping related to student progress and behavior. Skills Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere. Knowledge of curriculum development to assist in creating effective lesson plans. Ability to educate students across various subjects, including Math, while catering to diverse learning styles. Familiarity with preschool education principles, especially for early childhood development. Understanding of Deaf education practices is a plus for supporting hearing-impaired students. Background in childcare to ensure the well-being of all students during school hours. Proficiency in lesson planning that aligns with educational standards and student needs.
