In this role, you will support classroom activities, supervise children, and facilitate engaging learning experiences in a safe and nurturing environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a positive atmosphere where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while developing your skills in education and child development. Duties Supervise and monitor children during after-school hours (around 1 pm to 6 pm daily, Monday to Friday), ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with classroom management, behavior guidance, and instructional support in Chinese language activities Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts, crafts, games, and educational exercises that promote learning and social skills Support children with homework, tutoring, or language practice to reinforce their understanding of Chinese language and culture Maintain a safe environment by following first aid protocols, including administering basic first aid or CPR when necessary Assist with outdoor activities and ensure proper supervision during playtime or field trips Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff by demonstrating professionalism and cultural sensitivity Requirements Must love working with children from 4-8 years old. Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication with students and staff Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, camp programs, or youth groups is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Experience with special education needs or youth development programs is advantageous Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors confidently Ability to work outdoors when needed and adapt to various activity settings Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a team-oriented mindset Join us to inspire young minds through engaging activities while supporting their growth in a dynamic environment!
