Job Summary The job of Paraprofessional - Special Education is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the special education program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students in a variety of subject areas and providing individualized learning experiences to encourage academic excellence; assisting in the implementation of a behavior modification program; monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance; providing information to appropriate school personnel; and performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned. This job reports to Principal or Assistant Principal View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent First Aid and CPR certified (may attain certification within the first four months of employment) Paraprofessional Exam or 48 college units Must able to pass Strength and Agility test Tuberculosis Clearance Criminal Background Clearance Salary Info $24.64-$31.42 per hour Length of Work Year 180 days per year
