OVERVIEW

At Kindred Creative, we train young artists, ages 7-18, in real fine-art skills: observational drawing, color theory and color mixing, value, linear perspective, scaling, composition, and pastel, oil, acrylic, and mixed media. It's a method built and proven over eleven years, with consistent, visible results. We're looking for an instructor who finds that as exciting as we do. We're looking for an upbeat, enthusiastic Art Instructor passionate about teaching high-level foundational fine art techniques while building student confidence. You'll lead small-group classes and coach them individually on their projects. Classes are 2 hours long and meet weekly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with preparing and maintaining a welcoming, organized studio space Leading art classes (setting up materials, helping students, tidying up)

What you'll actually do. You won't hand out projects; you'll develop artists. The work is genuine instruction and one-on-one coaching — training a young eye to see as an artist. Who we're hoping to meet. You're a practicing artist yourself, still hungry to grow your own work. You're grounded and dependable. You're warm, with a playful presence that makes kids count down to studio days. You believe children are capable of far more than coloring inside the lines, and that mentorship is an art of its own. The perk that makes it sing. The studio is yours to make in. Use the space to develop your own fine-art practice — build your portfolio, keep your hands moving. Room to grow. This is not a dead-end role. Someone who masters the method, invests in the students, and earns the studio's trust will earn a deeper position with Kindred Creative. What's required. Training in our method is required, and we'll teach it to you thoroughly. Availability for part-time afternoon hours Monday-Saturday.
