This full-time opportunity places you at the forefront of empowering students at Transition Services, focusing on behavioral support, communication skills, and community integration. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference every day.
Key Qualifications:
Demonstrated behavioral support background, preferably within educational settings Significant or severe caseload experience is strongly preferred Direct experience working with young adults who have disabilities Familiarity with communication devices is a plus Ability to secure two completed professional RefAssured references prior to submission (mandatory for consideration) Capable of immediate fingerprinting upon offer acceptance; note that any charges on your record (felony or misdemeanor) are grounds for rejection Reliable personal transportation that ensures timely arrival—public transit, Uber, or similar services do not meet requirements Must be able to report to work by 8:00am daily
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver behavioral and community-based support to students transitioning to adult life Assist with communication development, including use of augmentative communication devices Support students' daily living needs, which may include toileting and diapering assistance Cultivate a safe, inclusive educational setting Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support This role offers a structured school-year calendar, running from August 11 through May 21, 2027, with a full-time weekly schedule.
