Position Purpose :
Responsible for providing instruction support in the classroom, including working one-on-one and in groups with students to reinforce lessons/curriculum; organizing and maintaining student data; participating in evening functions; assisting with student testing, support lunch and recess duties; and keeping an inventory of equipment and supplies.
Essential Duties:
Assist students in the completion of assignments as appropriate. Oversee students as they work independently or in groups, in the classroom, resource area/lab or other designated areas. Monitor students during tests; administer make-up exams as directed. Assist teachers in grading assignments and tests as requested. Assist teachers in the preparation of instructional materials. Assist in maintenance of departmental files and records. Assist in inventory of instructional material and equipment. Use copier as needed. Monitor lunch and recesses for multiple grade-levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Thursday and Friday 6.3 hours/day
STARTING SALARY
Grade 4, $19.41/hour - Classified Salary Schedule
WORK YEAR
: 180 contract days ( 26/27 Classified calendar )
