Job Description

Do you enjoy working with kids, have an interest in cooking, and love helping others learn new skills? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Instructor to help create fun, hands-on culinary experiences for our students. Young Chefs® Academy NoCo immerses participants in a world of culinary discovery, knowledge, and creativity while helping children build skills that last a lifetime. The Assistant Instructor is a developing member of the instructional team who is familiar with YCA Services and works under the guidance and supervision of the Lead Instructor. In this role, you'll lead a small group of students through the curriculum, reinforce important Teaching Moments, and help create a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment. What You'll Do Lead one small group of up to 6 students through the curriculum under the direction of the Lead Instructor. Reinforce relevant Teaching Moments while working directly with students. Help students build confidence and develop valuable cooking and life skills through hands-on instruction. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and classroom environment. Work closely with the Lead Instructor and fellow team members to create a fun, welcoming, and well-organized experience for students. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping children learn and grow.
An ideal candidate will:
Have an educational background or relevant experience working with children. Be passionate about food and cooking. Enjoy teaching children practical skills they can use throughout their lives. Be well-spoken, polite, and able to communicate comfortably with children, parents, and team members. Work well as part of a team and take direction from the Lead Instructor. Bring positive energy and enthusiasm to each class. Have a history of consistency and longevity in previous jobs. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
