Position:
School Paraprofessional As a School Academic Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic success of students. Working closely with teachers and administrators, you will provide essential assistance in classroom management, student instruction, and educational support services. This role requires a passion for education, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate students in their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers to implement dynamic lesson plans addressing students' learning needs. Provide individual and small group tutoring to support skill development. Foster a positive classroom environment, encouraging student engagement. Support students with special needs per their individual education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with AmeriCorps Fellows to reinforce critical content. Promote respect, leadership, and community engagement among students.
Qualifications:
Passion for education and belief in each student's potential. Prior experience in education or youth development is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborative, positive attitude with adaptability. High school diploma (Associate's degree or higher preferred).
