We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and flexible Classroom Support Teacher to join our early childhood education team! As a Classroom Support Teacher, you will provide classroom coverage during teacher lunch breaks while supporting the daily routines of multiple classrooms. This role requires someone who enjoys working with children of various ages, can quickly adapt to different classroom environments, and is passionate about helping children learn, play, and thrive. Whether you're reading a story, assisting with an art project, helping during outdoor play, or comforting a child who needs a hug, you'll be an essential part of our team. Responsibilities Provide active supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Float between classrooms to provide coverage during teacher and assistant teacher lunch breaks. Adapt quickly to different age groups, classroom routines, and daily schedules. Assist teachers with planned activities, learning experiences, and classroom routines. Support children during meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, transitions, outdoor play, and other daily activities as needed. Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging kindness, independence, and appropriate social interactions. Utilize positive behavior guidance techniques to support children's emotional and social development. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment by assisting with light cleaning, sanitizing, and classroom organization throughout the day. Communicate professionally and effectively with teachers, administrators, children, and families. Follow all state licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures. Be a reliable team player who is willing to jump in wherever assistance is needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the center. Skills Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood education setting preferred. Knowledge of positive behavior management and classroom guidance techniques. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise children in a safe and engaging manner. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to identify and complete tasks without constant direction. Flexible and adaptable when moving between classrooms and working with different age groups. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Positive, energetic, patient, and nurturing attitude. Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
