Early Education Assistant Teacher - Full-Time Red Barn Children's Center - Clinton, CT Red Barn Children's Center has been proudly serving the shoreline community for over 54 years. We are seeking passionate and experienced Assistant Teachers to join our program working in all barns with age groups from 7 weeks to 5 years. Schedule & Benefits:
Full-time, Monday-Friday Set daily schedule (8-hour shift with a paid 30-minute lunch break) Paid holidays and snow days Generous paid time off above state minimums Small class sizes (8:1 ratio or better for preschool ages)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, developmentally appropriate care and supervision for preschool-aged children Assit in creating a nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth Assit with planning engaging activities aligned with Connecticut Early Learning & Development Standards (ELDS) Collaborate with teaching team and participate in curriculum development Communicate effectively with families and colleagues Maintain compliance with state health and safety guidelines Attend staff meetings and professional development
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) Classroom experience with children ages 1 year to 5 Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) Familiarity with NAEYC accreditation (a plus) Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills Why Join Red Barn?
