50 Stars Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to support students in a school-based setting in Hampton, Connecticut . The ideal candidate will assist with academic, behavioral, social, and classroom needs while working closely with teachers and special education staff. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with special needs. Assist students with academic assignments and classroom activities. Support implementation of IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications. Assist with positive behavior-support and classroom-management strategies. Help students with transitions, routines, social skills, and daily school activities. Collect and document student progress and behavioral information as directed. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers. Encourage student independence and participation in classroom activities. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Maintain student confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Minimum 60 college credits OR an applicable Paraprofessional/Instructional credential or license. Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred. Special education, behavioral, or classroom experience is a plus. Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills. Ability to follow individualized student support plans. Ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team.
