Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Paraeducator K-12 ($21-$27 per hour range) Position Overview Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Paraeducator for an onsite position in the Redding, CT area for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an education industry contract position supporting students across the K-12 setting, with the selected candidate assigned to one school campus. The role is full-time and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside classroom educators and school staff. This position is scheduled for 34.17 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with an ASAP start date and an anticipated end date in late October. Compensation is $21-$27 per hour, depending on experience and other relevant factors. If the selected candidate performs at a high level, the district anticipates offering a contract extension to complete the remainder of the school year. Responsibilities The Paraeducator will assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional and student-support activities. Duties may include helping students follow classroom routines, providing individual or small-group assistance, and supporting learning activities under the direction of the teacher. The selected individual will work collaboratively with school personnel to promote a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment. Requirements Candidates should have experience working with children or students in an educational, childcare, behavioral, or related setting. Strong communication, patience, reliability, and the ability to follow teacher and district direction are important for success in this role. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and additional education or relevant experience may be considered when determining compensation. Contract and Benefits This is a 26'27 school year contract position through Soliant Education. Eligible employees receive health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401k plan and weekly pay. The assignment provides an opportunity to establish yourself within the district, with strong performance potentially leading to an extension through the remainder of the school year.
