Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or working with students in an educational or care setting Ability to implement teacher-directed activities and support students one-on-one or in small groups Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills Familiarity with classroom routines, basic academic support, and behavior management strategies High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or relevant certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers with instruction, classroom supervision, and preparation of materials Provide direct support to students who may require extra help or specific accommodations Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment Offer encouragement and guidance to students throughout the school day Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Support teachers with behavior management and foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for all learners
