This contract opportunity involves working one-on-one within a high school environment, ensuring a safe and nurturing experience for the student while collaborating closely with school staff and families.
Key Qualifications:
Active LPN license valid in Connecticut Current BLS/CPR certification Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred, but not required Ability to provide compassionate, attentive 1:1 care to students with complex medical needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals Commitment to professionalism and maintaining student confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care and monitor the health status of a medically fragile student Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as needed during the school day Maintain clear, accurate health records and document care provided Communicate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers regarding the student's health and care plan Support the student in participating as fully as possible in the school day Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
Position Details:
Contract role through the current school year, concluding June 11 Work scheduled Wednesdays only, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm (with early release days ending at 12:10 pm) Specific coverage dates throughout the academic year provided All interviews conducted onsite when possible Step into a role where you can truly make a difference in a student's daily life.
