Instructional Aide Chinese/ French SY26-27

Position Overview:

DCI is hiring a full-time Instructional Aide French/Chinese. The Instructional Aide provides in-person student support as a substitute teacher and administrative support for the school leadership.

Hourly Range:

$22.43 - $27.74 (Starting hourly rate is determined by education and years of relevant experience.)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. (Associates , Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent is highly preferred). Preference for candidates that are bilingual French, or Chinese and English. Ability to lift and carry orders and deliveries short distances. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in a school environment. Comfortable in a Mac environment. Ability to draft and create documents and spreadsheets. Ability to use multiple technology platforms to guide instruction and communicate with students and families and proficiency with communicating using G-Suite tools, including Gmail, is preferred. Clear a background check.

Key Qualities & Skills:

Teach courses and/or substitute teach as the sole instructor as necessary. Interact with students, teachers and other community members in a professional and inviting manner. Support teachers as an additional instructor in the classroom. Provide discipline and informal counseling in response to student issues, including tracking disciplinary responses. Provide support to office, front desk, and facilities staff as necessary. Assist students and staff as necessary. Professional communication with parents, students and staff French, or Chinese and English. Provide support to Activities, Clubs and Extracurricular team and/or Athletic Director when needed. Embrace French, Spanish, and Chinese cultures by leading and participating in cultural activities for faculty and students. Other duties as assigned.
