Job Description
Exciting opportunities await for those passionate about supporting students as a Paraprofessional in an onsite, contract position near Bear, DE. This role will provide vital classroom support at the elementary level, specifically assisting students and educators through Lombardy ESs full-year medical leave coverage. The contract begins as soon as possible and extends through June 8, 2027, offering stable, long-term employment in a school setting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Current and active Delaware Paraeducator Permit (permit cannot be pendingapplications without this are not considered; please provide a screenshot from the DEEDS portal if recently obtained) Experience working with elementary-age students preferred Ability to pay for $85 CBC fingerprinting process prior to presentation for the role Previous experience in a school or similar environment as a paraprofessional is highly valued RBTs are welcome to apply, but must understand the district will not provide or honor supervision, and the role will be classified/pay as a paraprofessionalKey Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one or small group support to students within classroom settings Assist teachers with instruction and classroom management strategies Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment tailored to student needs Support data tracking and documentation as directed by school staff Effectively communicate with teachers and administration regarding student progress Enjoy consistent Monday through Friday hours totaling 35 per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily), allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a real difference in students educational journeys.
