Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Paraprofessional supporting elementary learners in a dynamic educational setting. This contract role is based onsite near Bear, DE, and extends through June 8, 2027, providing stability and the chance to make a lasting difference in students lives. As a paraprofessional, youll initially assist in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms, followed by a transition to K-1, fostering academic and social growth among young learners. Qualifications & Experience Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit (requiredmust be in hand; candidates with pending permits must provide a DEEDS portal screenshot) Experience supporting elementary school classrooms, preferably in multiple grade levels Willingness to undergo $85 CBC fingerprinting as a condition of employment Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom assignments and student needs If holding an RBT certification, independent BCBA supervision required outside school hours; district will not provide supervision or RBT classification Responsibilities Provide hands-on guidance and instructional support to students in assigned grade levels Assist teachers with classroom management, activities, and individualized student plans Support social and emotional development, facilitating a nurturing learning environment Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement established lesson plans and IEPs Maintain records and provide updates regarding student progress and needs Position Details Immediate start through June 2027 Monday-Friday schedule, 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day Opportunity to develop skills within a supportive educational community If youre passionate about nurturing young learners and meet the outlined requirements, we encourage you to apply today.
