Job Description

This contract position offers you the chance to make a significant impact by working onsite with middle school students, specifically within a specialized Bridges program for learners on the autism spectrum. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to the success and well-being of every student.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (must have permit in hand or provide DEEDS portal screenshot if pending) Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar school setting preferred Comfortable and willing to assist with student feeding and toileting needs Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a teaching team Reliable and punctual, able to maintain professional boundaries with students and staff Must agree to and cover costs for mandatory $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to placement If currently an RBT, please note that supervision must be arranged externally and this role is classified solely as a paraeducator
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, on-site support to a student within the middle school Bridges program Assist with daily classroom activities, communication strategies, behavior support, and individual learning tasks Ensure safe and respectful care for students, including feeding and toileting when necessary Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive educational environment Collaborate with educators, therapists, and nursing staff to address student needs This opportunity provides a steady full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a consistent daily routine.
