9678545-19701 Job Description Step into a vital role as a contract Paraprofessional supporting Kindergarten students in an elementary school setting. This onsite position focuses on providing programmatic assistance and fostering a positive educational environment across kindergarten classrooms for a 60-day assignment, beginning as soon as possible. With a weekday schedule and a collaborative atmosphere, you'll be instrumental in guiding young learners and supporting classroom teachers in a meaningful, hands-on way.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required; candidates must submit a copy of the permit or a screenshot from the DEEDS portal showing application status (pending applications will be considered with proof). Experience working with children in a classroom or educational environment preferred. Willingness to obtain $85 CBC fingerprinting (candidate responsibility); consent to background check required. Ability to work collaboratively with instructional staff, maintain confidentiality, and follow school policies. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver supportive assistance to Kindergarten students and teachers throughout the school day. Aid with classroom activities, materials preparation, and student engagement. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Support individualized student needs, including following behavioral or academic plans as directed.
