This contracted position offers the chance to make a difference each day by assisting within the BRIDGES program, which focuses on supporting a female student alongside a team, including two dedicated nurses.

Key Qualifications:

Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required and must be in hand; pending permits are not accepted unless proof from the DEEDS portal is provided. Experience working as a paraprofessional, particularly with students on the autism spectrum and those with complex learning needs, is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable with feeding and toileting support, stepping in when needed as part of a collaborative team. Willingness to undergo fingerprinting/background check at the applicants own expense as required by the state. Candidates holding an RBT certification must arrange their own BCBA supervision outside of school, as school or agency supervision is not permitted. Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support within the classroom and throughout the school day. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and nurses to deliver individualized support plans. Assist with daily personal care, including feeding and toileting, as necessary. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for learning and growth. Document and report student progress, challenges, and daily activities as required.
