Make an immediate impact supporting middle school students as a Paraprofessional working onsite in a contracted position through June 2027. Collaborate closely with two dedicated 6th grade special education students and their 1:1 paras in a shared classroom environment, providing essential guidance and extra adult presence to help these students thrive, both academically and socially. Key Qualifications:

Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required (permit cannot be pending). Willingness to complete and cover the cost of $85 CBC fingerprinting; awareness and agreement required before presenting. Prior experience supporting students in a special education setting, preferably as a school paraprofessional. Comfortable working in a 1:2 shared para arrangement alongside both students and other education staff. Strong interpersonal communication skills and a team-player mentality are essential. If you are a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), please note district does not provide supervision; certification must be managed independently.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small-group support within the classroom. Assist students with academic tasks, social interaction, and adaptive behavior. Facilitate communication and collaboration between students, teachers, and primary paras. Help monitor classroom routines and ensure a safe, supportive environment. Document student progress and daily participation as directed.
