Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' academic and emotional growth as an onsite paraprofessional. Two dedicated professionals are needed for ongoing assignments in a positive and collaborative school environment, starting as soon as possible through early June 2027. You'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours weekly, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) helping students truly thrive.
There are two opportunities available:
Support a full-year medical leave, working as a male paraprofessional alongside elementary students to ensure continuity and care in daily learning. Join the STRIVE program, lending therapeutic support to students with significant emotional needs—ideal for individuals with experience in behavioral or therapeutic interventions. Bring your expertise and compassion to daily interactions, assist in classroom management, and communicate effectively with educators and families to enhance learning outcomes.
What You'll Need:
Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit already in hand (not pending). If pending, a screenshot from the DEEDS portal is required. Experience in educational or therapeutic support settings, especially with students requiring behavioral or emotional assistance. Willingness to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting (candidates will need to handle this step prior to placement). Comfort preparing documentation (attach permit and resume for consideration).
Note:
RBT certificates will not be recognized in this role and supervision must be managed independently, outside of work hours.
