What we're looking for: Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required (pending permits not accepted). Experience working in special education or autism support settings is preferred. Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere. Comfortable supporting students with diverse needs and communication styles. Working knowledge of classroom strategies and behavior supports for students with autism. Strong teamwork, flexibility, and communication skills. Candidates must be prepared to complete required CBC fingerprinting at their own expense. If RBT credentialed, be aware that you must secure your own BCBA supervision independently.

Key responsibilities:

Provide hands-on assistance to students, supporting a variety of academic, communication, and behavioral goals. Follow classroom routines and individualized support plans developed by educational staff. Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for all students. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement positive strategies and provide consistent encouragement. Maintain accurate records as needed and adhere to all district and classroom policies. This role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, running from late October through the end of March.
