Job Description
Provides tutorial and general program assistance in the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs, including enrichment and character building initiatives, various prevention projects and initiatives, and special events. Receives supervision and guidance from certified teachers and teacher assistants in the delivery of effective instruction. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. To view full job description, please click on the job title: Teacher Aide (Part-Time) High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one year of more years' experience and/or training working with school age children; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. Must have or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid training and Florida Department of Children and Families required early childhood education, teacher assistant, and/or childhood development associate certifications within one year of start date. In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully. •In order to move on to the next phase of the application screening process, you must attach proof of education. Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not limited to, evaluation of training and experience; background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screening.
