Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and assisting students in their learning journey. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about childhood development and eager to make a positive impact in the lives of children, particularly those with special needs. Duties Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities. Provide support to students with special education needs, including those on the autism spectrum. Help facilitate individual and group instruction in various subjects, including math and literacy. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as necessary. Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student engagement and participation. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. Collaborate with educators to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles, particularly in early childhood education settings. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Requirements Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapt materials for various learning needs. A background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children's growth and learning.
